Thank you for you interest in SSC Serv. This page contains the terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") for SSC Serv, the System Statistics Collection Service ("the software").
Licensing terms
- The software is provided as a download from
ssc-serv.com. Customers create an account and place their order in the Customer Area. As soon as we can confirm the payment, the unlimited (“full version”) of the software will be activated and can then be downloaded from the Customer Area. - If you require a printed invoice or a W-8BEN form, please contact
<info at ssc-serv.com>. If you require any other paperwork, please contact us before ordering. - Permission is granted to keep local copies of the software for example on file servers or removable media, as long as the software is not made available to third parties.
- For each license you may have one installation of the software. Licenses are not bound to a specific system, so you may remove the software from one system and install it on another system. However, you may not have more (running or runnable) installations of the software at any time than you bought licenses for.
- Your purchased licenses of SSC Serv are valid for one year. You can purchase a one-year extension for your licenses from the Customer Area at any time, even after the licenses expired. The extension period starts right after the previous expiration date.
- We retain all right, title and interest in and to SSC Serv. The software is licensed, not sold, and all rights not expressly granted in this agreement are reserved.
Privacy policy
- Protecting our customer's privacy is very important to us. The software therefore does not communicate with any computer other than those specified by the user in the software itself.
- Information entered when ordering the software is not used for any other purpose than processing your order of SSC Serv licenses. The information is not given to any third party and your email address will only be used in the manner outlined above. To receive information about new versions please subscribe to the SSC Serv mailing list.
Disclaimer of Warranty
There is no warranty for the program, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Except when otherwise stated in writing the copyright holders provides the program "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the program is with you. Should the program prove defective, you assume the cost of all necessary servicing, repair or correction.
Limitation of Liability
In no event unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing will the copyright holder be liable to you for damages, including any general, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the program (including but not limited to loss of data or data being rendered inaccurate or losses sustained by you or third parties or a failure of the program to operate with any other programs), even if the copyright holder has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
